A tribute to Amesbury’s first Mayor and one of the founders of Maudslay Arts Center

Next time you pay a visit to Amesbury City Hall, take a moment to appreciate the legacy of the late Mayor Nicholas J. Costello.

Nicholas J. Costello was a town selectman then served in the Massachusetts State Legislature from 1978-1991 as a State Representative and then a State Senator. He was elected the first Mayor of the City of Amesbury. He served from 1996-2001.
